Shambharshah was the son of Khemkaran Panwar. Shambharshah adopted Jainism and became oswal, and their family was named Sambhar.

In this family a famous person named Shah Jindutt was born. Once he performed a grand sung for pilgrimage and on return he gave a grand feast. The arrangement was so fine that the whole society gave them the title of CHATTUR, and it became their gotra. Later on few family member began the work of accounts (metha) so they were called Chattur-Mutha and other Chatturs are known as CHATUR-SAMBHAR.
