Sonpal Bohara was a nanvana-brahmin. He was the resident of Sirohi and doing moneylending so called bohara. One day a snake bite his son, so he became unconscious. By chance Acharya Jinvallabh Suri was in the city, so the Acharya cured him by charming a mantra. Sonpalji adopted Jainism and he became oswal.His gotra was Nanvana-Bohara. Navlakha, Fansala, and Pallival is the sub gotras.
Sonpalji had 6 sons, named Sinhaji, Jasaji, Ranoji, Bhagaji, Sadaji, and Jogaji. Sinhaji was father of 5 sons named, Champsi, Paras, Gopinath, Modan, and Pachhan. Following sub-gotras were named with the sons of these 5 brothers.
Champsi:- Bhivrajot, Dhanrajot, Gadmalot and Mahadasot. Their families reside in Jodhour, Chandaval and Kherva.
Paras :- Sukhmalot, Raimalot, Ridmalot, Pratapmalot, Joravarmalot, Hindumalot, Moolchandot, Dhanroopmalot, and Harchandot. Residing in Jodhpur, Sojat, Nagour, Merta, Pipar, Ren, Ladnu, Didwana, Pali, Siryari, Chanod, and Kalu.
Pachhandas :- Baghmalot was residing in Parbatsar.
Gopinath :- Bhagmalot was residing in Gujrat.
Modanji's family is in Kuchera.
In 1484 Shridharji Bohara organized a sang for Shatrunjaya Maha Teerth so they were called Singhvi.
