KULDEVI

Shri Osiya Mataji, Osiya

Samandsi Soda Rajput was residing in a small village near Padmavati City. He had 8 sons named Devsi, Raisi, khetsi, dhanno, tejmal, hari, bhomo, and karan. Samandsi was a farmer. Due to continuous famine he became very poor. By chance Acharya Shri Jinvallabh Suri arrived in his hut. He welcomed him but was unable to give him alms. He told him his worry. Acharya said, "A man becomes happy because of his good deeds and suffers due to his bad deeds, so leave this professon and do business." He also explained how to follow Jainism.

He started leading a life of a jain. One day he heard that the Acharya Shri Jindutt Suri was in Padmavaticity, so he went there for his darshan with Dhanna Porwal. There he became an oswal and his gotra was named Samdaria. Dhanna Porwal made him his business partner. Then his family was named Samdaria-Bohara.

Kuldevi of these gotras is Shri Osiya Mataji, Osiya.
